I'm at the festival for the weekend, soaking in the sun. Follow my adventures on instagram @elshanesworld!
I am so excited to finally share this video project I worked on with Glam.com during Coachella 2014. They flew out their video crew to Indio, CA to document my weekend festival journey. Have a watch and tell me what you think!
{...At the start of every year, we wait for April to roll around, and with it, the start of another festival season by way of Coachella. This year, Glam.com tagged along with me to seek life and style inspiration at the sonic spree. Via Glam.com}
I can smell festival season and spring break around the corner. Aside from loading up on endless floral dresses, festive headpieces, statement sunnies, and body jewels, this season I made room for the most practical festival fashion element of all: comfortably cool thangs.
I remember day three of Coachella last year. My outfit called for a low leather wedge sandal, but when I woke up that Sunday morning, after two full days of being on my feet, I reached for my pink Teva sandals instead. Best.decision.ever. (Peek at last year's Coachella fashion diary throwback here.)
This year, I'm preparing my Coachella Teva sandals ahead of time! Luckily, comfort came in the form of Teva sandals with a matching JammyPack...oh yeah, that's the official name for this 90's throwback walkin' and talkin' boom-box slash stuff holder. Which reminds me... my hubby actually already stole it from me to wear to Coachella himself. Battle of the sexes!!! {I will definitely win this one.}

I'm counting the moments until Coachella 2015 next weekend. In the meantime, I played dress up all weekend long in highest anticipation-- mixing boho flirty florals with some rough around the edges accessories and shoes. The result? Spring's freshest look yet.
This spring, I dare you to go back to the basics. A little dress, a little boot, a little belt, and some serious jewelry swag.
When you strip down all of the layers involved in making a great look, sometimes you realize that all it really takes is a girly mini dress to make you feel all sorts of ready for spring.
