A white dress for spring is the perfect blank canvas to paint on bold accessories.

Grab that colored wide brim hat from your closet (oh, wait, you don't have one? Why not?! It's a must this season!) and a stack of dainty gold chains, effortless espadrilles and a luxe tonal handbag to make a stamp on style this spring season!

I have been gravitating to white clothing so much lately. And I don't even have my tan in check. Anyone else feel me on the white movement? 

Leopard is "my black". It's the thoughtless, always a good choice, always safe grab and go for my lifestyle. It goes with everything, makes me feel dressed, and adds a depth of personality to any look.

This silhouette by Diane von Furstenberg is actually one of her best sellers for the past 8 years. I know this because I used to watch them fly off the shelves when I managed her public relations in NYC years ago. It works on all body types-- small, big, high, low, long, short, living for one, eating for two...or three... ya know. It just works.

Also, never mad at a chiffon flutter sleeve on a breezy day. Smells fabulous at every twist and turn...

It's pretty hard for me to just put on a dress and shoes. {Ok, clearly by this photo I couldn't resist myself yet again-- I had to add the embroidered cardigan for some of the shots.}

But, I will admit, there is something special about a simple look. I naturally gravitate to separates because it allows me to mix and match a look to truly style an outfit as my own. A dress can feel so inside the box...so cookie cutter... so beige. 

But even I surprise myself sometimes with how easy a gorgeous dress can make for simple styling. It's really as easy as 1 (dress), 2 (heels), 3 (smile and go)! 

And in the blink of an eye... you're flawless...

I do feel like I could play tennis with Cher Horowitz right about now... She would be so proud of the evolution of her signature look!

This black sheer overlay was a blank canvas for me. I didn't want to go the common route of pairing it over a white T, so I played around in my closet, throwing it over everything from a dusty Herve Leger bandage dress (it was a major cool moment that I must re-create ASAP), to jeans and a T for a chic'd up vibe. This sheer overlay is my new tall drink of water. ;)

Now that I think about it, it might even make an appearance at the beach tomorrow...
