Good morning! If you haven't already checked out my interview with Fashion Mamas, then here it is!

Sunday and I played dress up in a handful of looks and shot editorials all over mi casa. It's a light, fun read where I describe my decor choices for each room, from how I brought my taste of New York with me to LA, and where I hoard all of my shoes!

This was of course my favorite moment-- twirling and twirling in our matching tulle. Although, you will see in the article that Sunday and I raid her baby closet and leap around in a pile of faux fur and hair accessories-- that moment comes in a close second! I hope you enjoy the article!

I do feel like I could play tennis with Cher Horowitz right about now... She would be so proud of the evolution of her signature look!

This black sheer overlay was a blank canvas for me. I didn't want to go the common route of pairing it over a white T, so I played around in my closet, throwing it over everything from a dusty Herve Leger bandage dress (it was a major cool moment that I must re-create ASAP), to jeans and a T for a chic'd up vibe. This sheer overlay is my new tall drink of water. ;)

Now that I think about it, it might even make an appearance at the beach tomorrow... 

It's pretty hard for me to just put on a dress and shoes. {Ok, clearly by this photo I couldn't resist myself yet again-- I had to add the embroidered cardigan for some of the shots.}

But, I will admit, there is something special about a simple look. I naturally gravitate to separates because it allows me to mix and match a look to truly style an outfit as my own. A dress can feel so inside the box...so cookie cutter... so beige. 

But even I surprise myself sometimes with how easy a gorgeous dress can make for simple styling. It's really as easy as 1 (dress), 2 (heels), 3 (smile and go)! 

And in the blink of an eye... you're flawless...

Simply in my element! Vintage head to toe-- feels so right! This is what happiness tied up in a silk mandarin collar looks like! ;)

It's officially mini skirt season here in Los Angeles, and I'm doing the happy dance! Since I'm very openly NOT a jeans girl, mini skirts are my staple go-to, instead.

I find that a mini skirt can pair perfectly with nearly everything you'd typically wear jeans with. Fitted sweater? Check. Button down blouse? Check. Bomber jacket? Check. Plain white tee? Check. Check. Check.

In fact, the mini skirt staple is an instant wardrobe wow, no matter the occasion. If all it takes to look significantly more polished is to swap out the denim for a mini, while having the same outfit on waist up, then who's stopping us?! And just like THAT, your outfit goes from cute to killer... 

Throwing a camo jacket over this blissful rainbow ensemble was a last minute door dash for me. And I'm ever so thankful! It took what was otherwise a classic case of happy fashion and threw a cool girl wrench in the middle. 

Camouflage has always been a neutral to me (yes, so is leopard and rainbow, but still), so it was an easy grab over this colorful lewk. It works. I dig. 

We went to Aspen for the first week of March. The weather was mid to high 40's, even on top of the slopes! So what immediately came to mind? FashUN! I wanted comfy, cozy, cool. 

So I did. An oversized glam t-shirt, chunky over the knee socks, and a fur so fabulous that it deserves its own post. It was passed down to me just the evening before I left on the trip, from my mother-in-law who handed it down to me from her mother-in-law. It must be 75 years old. Score!!

The look is a little street, a little sass, and a whole lotta Après Chic!

We're in a bit of a fashion weather bind here in LA. It's sunny, it's chilly, it's winter, it's almost spring... It's a bit hard to dress when you're still trying to feel winter chic, but the sun is shining so damn bright!

So a compromise is in order. A 3/4 sleeve white T for layering, a tweed top that feels winter yet reads spring, and a skirt that both covers and shows leg. Oh, and this Chanel handbag enters scene as the rainbow frosted, double sprinkled, triple cherry icing on the cake!

I mean, what am I complaining about? It's too warm to wear boots? Boo hoo hoo!!!!!
