You can blame it on the five year stint I've done living in Los Angeles. Two simple words-- denim shorts-- they had me at hello {California}!

It may not be June 20th yet, but it's definitely summer in my books! To me, summer is all about casual denim, open toes, and extra frizzy-chic hair (yupppp-- embrace that fro). It's a glass of rosé after work while the sun is still out, a bright red lip sitting against tanned skin with no other makeup, and a Tuesday afternoon beach daydream. It's concerts, movies, and extra long strolls!

Actually, strapping on these Tevas for this look gave me a major flashback to years past at summer music festivals. With Bonnoroo coming up, I'm definitely feeling the FOMO a bit.

The only music festival I'll be seeing this summer is starring this new band called, "The Crying Sundays". It's a fabulous one woman show and she defies the odds of success for such young talent! Only 2 months old. Hehehe..... 

Has anyone else heard the term "glamping", or is that one of those things that falls into this ridiculous "that's so LA "category, as well? {Cue: all previous Coachella posts...}

Glamping is camping for, well... chicks like me. It's glam camping, and it's that time you leave your flashlight and bug zapper behind. Out with the tents, and in with luxe hotels and couture in the center of nature.

I took a trip up to Big Sur, California and wandered through the insanely impressive redwood forest in what only seemed fitting... a head to toe sheer Pucci lewk. It just felt right.

Big Sur is a rugged stretch of Cali's central coast by Carmel, positioned between the Santa Lucia Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, known for jagged cliffs, tight windy mountain roads, and state parks tucked in the endless redwood forest. We spent the day exploring town-- quaint luncheonettes and mom and pop shops along the bluffs-- and took in the breathtaking drive. 

Plus, I had my handy camping backpack (yup, this bite sized Christian Louboutin leather and beaded beauty) to store all of my glamping essentials... like my cell phone, lip gloss, and room key. ;)

Isn't one of the best parts of having a baby being able to tote them around like the hottest new accessory in town? I couldn't WAIT to bust out my Tokidoki Lillebaby carrier once my lil Sunday was born!

I will admit, when it arrived in the mail at first, my husband was like, "Really Elshane? You had to get this one? You couldn't just get a black one like everyone else?"

I mean... does that question even require a response? NO!

The truth is, he's grown to love it just as much as me. He used it last weekend as we walked around Beverly Hills and got "mad props" from other dads and chic women everywhere. But what else did he expect? When you're toting the coolest baby carrier around with the hottest tot in town, you just gotta give that good ol' nod and smile every time. ;)
