Nature was at its finest today on the Highline. The sun was beaming, the air was crisp, and the wind was...WINDY! Really windy. My hand-stitched cashmere rosette cardigan must have been mad at me. Every time I wear it I find myself spending the next morning sewing it back together. Certainly tomorrow morning will be no different.
I always laugh at this Coco Chanel quote when getting dressed... "before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off"... because I do just the opposite. I make sure that before I leave the house, I add something. Something me, something memorable. My Thailand wood bead necklaces bring me back to my holiday on the beach in Phuket, exactly one year after the Tsunami devastated the land. For such a dark moment, my necklaces capture so much light.
