CITY SLICKER

posted by Elshane on Nov 4 2014, under Fashion

Sometimes the New York in me really comes out to shine. You know, that Nolita street style that you just can't package and sell at a store. It comes from the hungry within-- the boss lady who knows what her day is going to entail, and dresses the part.

Besides, mixing voluminously billowing MC Hammer-esque silhouettes doesn't scream sexy unless you let it. There's a bit of an art behind the mash-up. Here it goes...

Find oversized silhouettes that still manage to show the right parts of your body. In this case, my top is like a true, great mullet-- business in the front, party in the back!

The skirt is all volume, which is ok, because if anyone wants to accuse me of over-fabrication, I simple turn at a 90 degree angle and give them the cold {naked} shoulder.

And the flats? Any werking girl knows better than to be running around in heels. Keep a tall pair in your handbag for office romping, but do your dirty work in a chic flat all day, everyday.
