MCQUEEN: SAVAGE BEAUTY

While I was in New York, I checked out the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit at the MET.  He was a man who challenged and expanded the understanding of fashion and beauty utility to a conceptual expression of culture, politics, and identity. My favorite moments were the crocodile shoulder pads and the red lace face mask (can we say Marchesa Fall 2011?)
It was a strict no photography allowed exhibit. I won''t say that I took the photos, but I also won't deny that they came from my camera...
His signature "armadillo" shoe was even on sale in the gift shop, in a miniature toy doll house version. It was a must!
