The past two weeks have been SO incredibly hectic, stressful, exciting... It's embarrassing I haven't posted in 10 days, but the honest truth is, people: I have a day job...you know, one that pays the bills and makes all of my dreams come true. Yes, that job! Celebrity stylista.
I was at Fashion Week in New York for the past 5 days. In head to toe floral, I saw fashion shows, pulled Emmy gowns, and attended parties: drinking tequila- everything's all the way along. A blogger without photos? I think mystery is a stylista's best kept secret.
In the midst of NYFW, I've been deep in Emmy madness for my flawless client, Giuliana Rancic, who hosts the E! red carpet. Three gown changes, literally millions of dollars of diamonds (dear robbers, they are stored at E! so don't even attempt to raid my apartment), endless stilettos and vintage clutches to complete the look. There are a million dresses in the world but only one perfect moment for each star.
Which leads me to my perfect star moment-- this morning, waking up to a Fed Ex box on my doorstep. The diligently professional, smart, and saavy chicks at ShopEDropOff gifted me a CFDA "You Can't Fake Fashion" tote, illustrated with one of my favorite elshane fashion memories by the incredibly talented Rosemary Fanti {can we say Isabel Toledo, anyone}? The Chicago-based company is my go-to for vintage Ebay fashion finds, as they are one of the leading consignment agencies in the country. (Shop their latest pieces here)
The point of this post: in 10 days you can make it 6,000 miles across the country, brush shoulders with Andre Leon Talley, break down in tears on a street corner covered in garment bags, drink free drinks, buy overpriced TopShop, be gifted a canvas bag more special than any quilted Chanel.
And wake up and start all over tomorrow.
