Happy Birthday Elshane.com! It's been an amazing THREE YEARS! It all started in NYC while working for the major, mega, Diane von Furstenberg. As her ultimate PR chick, coined "the mayor of DVF" (and "elshane", of course!), I was that girl...that publicist... with an obese, overstuffed closet filled with all of DVF's most coveted runway samples! BUT...
At work each day, I had to represent DVF, the brand, as the chic and powerful publicist that I was. Think... tailored chiffon blouses tucked into leather paneled pencil skirts and topped off with a perfectly pointed Christian Louboutin heel.... Wait, what???
Is it true? A closet filled with candy-colored splendor and no where to wear it all? My collection of couture HAD to be documented-- the world had the right to know! The satins wanted to dance! The plaids wanted to pose! The georgettes just had to see the light of day...
And so it began... the tale of the tartans. The story of the silks. One by one, gaining the recognition they each deserved; for all to applaud...
And three years later, 3,000 miles from where it all began... the story continues. No longer a publicist in a pencil skirt... now a pop star stylist. All from this diary of a dress.
