(DVF shawl, dress, clutch, and bangles; vintage earrings; Christian Louboutin heels}

Cinco de Mayo in style! Threw on one of my favorite DVF dresses but gave it a little Frida Kahlo 'tude with a side-swept + flower hair-do and my beloved floral cape. My munchkin Rickey has a chiwawa look, although he's pure beagle + wiener dog mix, but I added him for the whole "yo quiero Taco Bell" affect.
I was off to dinner and drinks at a Mexican restaurant on Sunset Blvd-- I put together a good crew of friends to attempt to reenact what a NYC Cinco de Mayo would consist of... friends, overcrowded bars in an excellent way, overflowing tequila, random "ay, caramba!" interjections. LA doesn't have that same hunger in the belly for holiday celebrations. But I tried...and my Frida Kahlo look got me a few free rounds of drinks at the bar.
