Us #bosslady boos who work hard must always indulge in giving back to our bodies, particularly our skincare regimen. After a long day on set, I make sure to always exfoliate, use toner, and slap on a 20-minute moisture surge.
I recently discovered these (*wow alert, under $8 each) Dr. Jart + masks during New York fashion week, and quickly invited them into my bedroom. For the sake of my skin and yours, here's the gossip on their performance...
This gel mask was by far the most fun mask to put on, but also the hardest. It comes in two separate parts, an eye mask, and then a lower face mask which they instruct you to stretch past your ears. I opted to just stick it to my cheeks because it seemed a bit cleaner, and worked just as well. The caffeine and aloe left my face feeling tight n' right! I would continue to use this mask once a week.
This gel mask is great to do with your significant other. It's easy to apply, feels so tight on the skin, and fits on all face types. It's targeted towards dark circles, dark spots, and uneven skintone. Basically, a Thursday night delight...
This is the cotton sheet mask that I fell in love with during Fashion Week. It's easy to apply and left me feeling moisturized and refreshed because of the immediate cooling sensation from the allantoin and witch hazel. It's a bit messier than others, but fine if you're using it while laying in bed. Thumbs up.
I will admit I forced my husband to take a few photos of me in this mask for my blog and he was so horrified with the image of me as a mummified ghost that he refused to let me post them. They really did look that ugly. I recommend using this during some good ol' fashion alone time. And, yes I still have those photos and am proud of them.
This black, seaweed-like mask (filled with Korean charcoal and spearmint) was very exotic upon opening! It felt cold and soothing on my face, but slid around a bit while I watched TV. It's intended for large pores and I have very small pores so I didn't notice much of a difference the next morning. Worth a shot if you have large pores.
P.S.- Anyone notice this creative way of taking the photo of me in the mask? This was round two, after my scary round one photo shoot with the Water Replenishment mask. {#beautytestingproblems}
