Something about a long chiffon kaftan evokes a magical moment of Andy Warhol and Brigitte Bardot lounging, entertaining... "hedonizing" along a coast that I only read about in books.
I love testing the boundaries of intention of a particular clothing item. Here, a sheer beach kaftan has transformed into much more; when layered over appropriate undergarments, the story livens and the mood is created.
I picture wearing this kaftan at sunset on a charmed remote dock that's fastened along mountains surrounding the Aegean Sea. Oh, and in real life I would wear this to a sunny, outdoor music festival. In a kaleidoscope swarm of cut-off denim shorts and crystal headgear, a little Bardot dot in the crowd is a breath of fresh air...
