Sometimes all it takes is a pop and a cinch to take a piece of clothing to next. 

This retro shirtdress can stand alone quite well, but with an unexpected pop of red, a dress suddent become a look.

I opted for white kicks because that seems to be the only footwear of choice to wear with dresses these days, haven't you heard? And seen? It's a fail-proof plan for street style success.

A gold pencil skirt is something I oddly didn't have in my closet until recently. I ask myself why? I love pencil skirts, and gold is the most regal hue of the rainbow, of course.

This season, women empowerment is in full force. Two women are front runners for POTUS status, wow! {President of the United States}, and in fashion, athleisure for women is standing tall as the premiere trend moving forward for seasons to come.

What is athleisure exactly? Well, in basic terms, it was someone's idea to glorify the right for women to wear chic sweatpants, fresh sneakers, yoga pants, and edgy backpacks in public, and be deemed "trendy" for it. My vote? Power to women in well-fitting, comfortable clothing!

This season, athleisure is measuring up to be the biggest go-to for holiday gifting, both for yourself, and for your loved ones. 

Don't let this trend go by without making your mark on it-- it's too good (and comfortable) to pass up.

But remember, athleisure is high-end athletic wear. This is not an excuse to break out your old sweatpants and sweatshirts from years past. The new cuts and silhouettes of current athleisure-wear are form-fitting, made of high quality fabrics, and statement pieces that are meant to be bold and seen. THAT is athleisure. Don't fall behind.

I'm 21 weeks today! This lil' bump is (slightly) bumpin'!

I sat down with NYC-based mommy blog, Mama{love} NYC for a little Q&A on how I'm handling this whole... growing another human inside my body...type thing. It was a Naomi Campbell-approved fashion jungle at the Balmain x H&M VIP preview shopping event in Los Angeles. Imagine celebrities, high profile fashion stylist, and reality stars in one room mauling each other over small, delicately stacked racks of leather, pearls, and studs. It was like a leopard, cheetah, and tiger fighting for each other's spots. 

Such was the case last week at the Balmain x H&M launch event-- but guess who came out victorious? Wink, wink {see above and below photos of me wearing a head to toe lewk}.

Although I can't link to these direct items to purchase on my site (unless you're willing to pay 5x retail price and scout the items on eBay), I've instead suggested similar pieces for friendly price points.

Moto leather pants are a must for a stylish wardrobe, and an updated pearl-encrusted shirt is a no-fail for this fall season. I scored with Balmain-- but you can too, by shopping below! 

I'm not one for a casual lewk-- but today I felt like blending in!

Peaking out from the top of my {maternity} jeans is a new accessory I'm getting used to rocking. It's small but mighty, and it demands a new way of styling. It's a 20-week baby bump... a bump that signifies that I'm half way there!

I opted for an untucked button down shirt over jeans to hide the little bulge. It's not big enough yet to roar loud and proud in a tight dress, so for now, hiding it will have to do.

I don't think I've gone this long without wearing a crop top for about 16 years. Free the belly!
