Sprinkle a little color into your everyday routine! That's easy for me to say-- try standing inside my closet to pull for something black. You may find a few pairs of black socks and... and... and.... ?!

A little color can go a long way. Take this playdate that Sunday and I had, for example. I think half the fun of our playdate was chasing around all of the colors of our very own rainbow. It's certainly enough to make someone smile.

Next time you're in a wardrobe rut, reach for color. Happiness approved!

You don't have to sell me twice when the hottest color of the season is also the brightest. I'll jump right on board, and dip in head to toe!

Red for fall is here and it's packing a powerful punch. The runways have shown it worn as coats, sweaters, pants-- both denim and trouser, and boots, boots, boots! 

The trick about red? It comes in two variations-- with a blue undertone, or with an orange undertone. Depending on your skin/hair tone, you may prefer one over the other. Me? I show no loyalty-- I'm team BOTH shades. (If you can tell, my sweater has an orange undertone, and my shorts blue).

I'm not a regular blonde, I'm a COOL BLONDE! (At least that's what my hair colorist tells me.)

And it's not because of my personality... I'm talking about my actual hair color! 

Being "cool blonde" means stripping your blonde locks of those brassy, bronzy, yellowy tones that often creep up on our from the bottle and natural blonde locks. Maintaining that "cool blonde" color-- think fresh, bright, shiny locks-- didn't come easy... until now!

I recently met my best friend... standing tall and purple from dpHUE... she's a shampoo and conditioner who is violet-tinted and gently cleanses my hair while neutralizing the warmth of my blonde color (plus she's paraben, sulfate, and phthalates free). Imagine if shampoo and conditioner had that "warm/cool" filter that we so often use on Instragram (hint: always choose cooler, never warmer!!!)... well, same rings true with our hair.

So now I ask... are YOU a cool blonde?

Sunday's moving on up in this world! Who knew being a baby was so luxurious? I sure didn't...

I was on the hunt for a new set of casual, everyday dinnerware. I checked out the usual suspects... won't mention any names but their initials include PB, C&B, you know the drill... Everything was expensive and unimpressive.

So I sat tight for a bit, until I stumbled upon this gem of a company, called Cheeky. I first heard of them when they sent me a set of babyware-- BPA-free plates, bowls, sippy cups. I was impressed by the quality, the design, and the cute prints. They still remain front and center in my baby feeding line-up.

Then I saw that they make porcelain dinnerware... and for every plate purchased, the company donates a meal to someone in need in the U.S.. I was sold. Great quality, great prices, great prints, great cause. Need any other reason to look any further? I would hope not!

Of all the memories I have spending my 20's living in New York, the crispest of those memories were those spent on rooftops. In the concrete jungle, there's no such thing as a backyard, so rooftops easily become coveted outdoor space. 

Day drinking, sun tanning, happy hour cocktail'n, all-night rooftop ragers... ok, I'm noticing a theme... rooftops and drinking definitely went hand in hand (LOL). It felt good to be back in my stomping grounds doing what I love to do most-- sip vino and stare at the endless NYC skyline.
