CITY SLICKER

Sometimes the New York in me really comes out to shine. You know, that Nolita street style that you just can't package and sell at a store. It comes from the hungry within-- the boss lady who knows what her day is going to entail, and dresses the part.

Besides, mixing voluminously billowing MC Hammer-esque silhouettes doesn't scream sexy unless you let it. There's a bit of an art behind the mash-up. Here it goes...

POM AND CIRCUMSTANCE

This is my "I can't wait for the Super Bowl" face. Give me a reason to daytime celebrate and I'll give you 10 shots of tequila reasons to hang by my side.

This year we were going to extend our annual Super Bowl rager-- last year's was equip with a basketball dunk bouncy castle and a hella-lotta beer pong-- but unfortunately our new #elspanishoasis custom living room couch won't be delivered in time. This hostess doesn't host a party without seating.

So we're giving it a rest this year, and planning to make the most of Uber and our friend's sweet house in the Hollywood hills...

File under: I love parties.

BIKE AND THE CITY

There's really no way to stop a girl in cowboy boots.

Slangin' a crystal chain Louboutin backpack.

And a trusty bicycle.

Possibly too long to be a Haiku, but for the sake of fashion, it works.

Photographs taken in Times Square, NYC, by Ashley Walker.

URBAN COWGIRL

Haven't grabbed for a basic white tee in so long... now I'm craving them more than ever! This look started with the idea of a detailed top to complete the lewk-- first I tried a printed silk blouse buttoned and tucked, then a printed boxy crop top, then a cropped light sweater. Nothing felt right.

The anti-me spied a boxy, short white tee in my closet... folded perfectly (and probably dusty from lack of wear), and grabbed for it. It felt so plain, so wrong, so... ordinary!!

Once I tried it on, I realized why it's so important to invest in great white tees. Sometimes they are the perfect missing piece to the puzzle! She stole my heart.

EL IN WONDERLAND

This dress is reversible, let's start with that.

I don't think I've ever owned a great reversible item before. My husband, who makes clothing for stores like Walmart, Sears, Target, etc, was always trying to sell me on his men's reversible shorts idea. I was always like, "Ehhh, next idea please," time after time. But now, I think he might be on to something...

This dress excites me because I feel like I have two dresses in one- -and they both serve very different purposes. The orange snow leopard is an obvious nod to my everyday colorful life, but the black --almost menswear tie- inspired -- printed dress is perfect for a quick night out.

Kenzo x H&M did it-- they mastered the two-fer! I'm sold. Literally. Sold.
