(TopShop bikini and scarf (worn as bracelet); flea market hat; DVF shorts; Tokyo pin and eraser Popsicle; Robert Rose necklace; vintage sunnies; Alexander Wang handbag; Kitson ring; Brera watch; H&M earrings; iPanema flip flops)
Packed it all up in the trusty Wineebago 20" rims spinnin' SUV; strapped that Hollywood pup on the trunk; slangin' crotchless wetsuits hiking boots and miniature erasers in the shapes of gold star desserts, all for a weekend on the man-made lake on top of a mountain that produces the finest bottled water in town.
A weekend in Lake Arrowhead, CA to extend a celebration of the maturity of two souls coming together to join as one in a ceremony involving a knot and a garter belt. Mine will be made of plastic strawberries dipped in orange glitter and strung together by, of course, shoestring licorice (cherry). Taste-tee.
Shimmy that Harlem Shake right into that lake, we did. Water skiing and crab crack-a-lackin' filled our days; jammin' to rollerblade-clad 80's cover bands, creatively infusing Pad Thai, Tequila, and silly shoe changes filled our evenings.
We day-to-night'd, like any perfect Anna Sui shirtdress is destined to do. It is that which is the righteous path for its creation; a shirtdress, a man-made lake, a perfect engagement weekend.
