This summer I shook up my normal workout routine to get the abs I was looking for. Here's a quick exercise to try at home while watching TV (preferably Ladies of London).
A quick and easy plank that will guarantee a love/hate relationship between you and your abs:
Get into a plank position: palms out on your floor in front of you, arms straight and locked stiff, toes holding you up on the floor behind you. To bring you up into the correct position, tense your stomach and engage your core, so your hips are in line. Check your form here.
Hold steady for 10 seconds. Now, in a fluid series...
Lift your right arm up, and hold for 2 seconds and put it down.
Lift your right leg up and hold for 2 seconds and put it down.
Follow the same movements with your left side.
Repeat this exercise through an entire commercial break of Ladies of London. Feel the burn!
